Lobby began as a small idea in a familiar space. After years of running a wedding flower studio on Chestergate in Macclesfield, owner Laura decided it was time for something new. Inspired by the changing character of the area, now home to a growing number of independent businesses, she opened Lobby in summer 2025.
The aim was simple: to offer something different. A shop that brings together bold, design-led products in a space that feels bright, modern, and welcoming.
The name Lobby comes from Laura’s background in architecture and design, referencing the iconic Lobby Chair by Charles Eames, but also the idea of a lobby as a warm, welcoming place to arrive.
Inside, you’ll find a carefully chosen mix of colourful homeware, gifts, and everyday items from both UK makers and international brands. From candles and ceramics to stationery and incense, each product is picked with an eye for design and a love of interiors that breaks from the ubiquitous beige minimalism of today.
